4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech

Depart from Fes in the morning and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop at Ifrane, the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and then continue to the cedar forests of Azrou, home to Barbary macaques. Cross the scenic Ziz Valley and pass through Midelt before reaching Erfoud. In the late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll ride camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the sunset and spend the night in a desert camp.

This day is dedicated to exploring the Sahara at a relaxed pace. After breakfast, visit Khamlia village to experience Gnawa music, meet nomadic families, or explore seasonal lakes and desert oases. You can also enjoy optional activities such as sandboarding or quad biking. In the afternoon, relax in the desert and take another camel ride or simply enjoy the sunset from the dunes. Overnight again in Merzouga (camp or hotel).

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After returning to Merzouga, the journey continues through desert towns and palm groves to the spectacular Todra Gorge, where sheer cliffs rise dramatically on either side. After some time to walk and explore, continue to the Dades Valley, known for its unique rock formations and traditional kasbahs. Dinner and overnight in a hotel or riad overlooking the valley.

After breakfast, drive through the Valley of Roses and on to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco,” famous for its film studios. Visit the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a masterpiece of earthen architecture and filming location for many movies and series. Finally, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass, arriving in Marrakech by evening.
