Your day begins with a pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech around 9:00 am, followed by a scenic drive through the Haouz plains into the lush foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, you’ll pass terraced fields, fruit orchards, and traditional Berber villages, with opportunities to stop for photos and admire the stunning landscapes. You may visit a traditional Berber house to experience local hospitality and enjoy a cup of Moroccan mint tea, then continue to a nearby argan oil cooperative to see how this famous oil is traditionally produced. By late morning, you’ll arrive at the village of Setti Fatma, the gateway to the famous seven waterfalls.
From there, a guided hike takes you along rocky paths and streams, passing natural pools and lush scenery, offering breathtaking views of the mountains and cascading water. After exploring the waterfalls, you’ll enjoy lunch at a riverside restaurant serving traditional Moroccan dishes such as tagines and couscous. In the afternoon, you’ll have some free time to relax by the river, take photos, or explore the village before departing for the return drive to Marrakech, arriving back at your hotel or riad around 5:30 to 6:00 pm, having experienced the serene beauty and traditional culture of the Ourika Valley.
